Benefits of being an Agency Worker

The term’ Agency Work’ may have a negative connotation for some, but Papillon Home Care aims to change this perception. Agency work, in our context, refers to flexible employment opportunities where you can choose your working hours and duration of work. Here are some common questions around agency working:

Does the agency work mean short-term contacts?

For Papillon Home Care workers, agency work does not mean short-term work. Some of our care staff have been with us since we opened in 2018. You can be an agency worker with us for as little or as long as you want to.

Will I have regular hours?

At Papillon Home Care, we have a steady flow of care enquiries. While the nature of domiciliary work means that our client numbers can fluctuate, this also means there are always opportunities for work. Even during quieter periods, we constantly seek new care packages to ensure a steady supply of work for our staff.

Whilst we can not guarantee set hours for our staff, we strive to provide work that meets our staff’s requirements. We are always seeking new care packages to increase our rotas and continuously recruit to assist new client care packages taken on.

What our staff say:

“I love working in home care because I love to help people. I like to make the service users feel happy and still in control of their lives even though they need help. I like to give my best, and it makes me feel good. It’s the best job I’ve ever had. I like that I can choose my hours and work as little or as much as I want.”

“The flexibility with my working hours, it works around my children, and I know I can do extra hours if I need to.”

“Papillon office staff and co-ordinators are so lovely and kind. They listen to what clients and the staff want and need and always accommodate to these. I always feel appreciated and welcome in the team.”

“I like that every day is different. I love the fact that our clients trust us enough to allow us into not only their homes but their lives as well. I love being able to see the difference we make in their lives. We may be the only people they see in a day, but that could make all the difference between being isolated and alone and seeing a friendly face. Home Care is all about person-centred care, which is exactly what we do.”
